Is your dividend income safe?
Enter up to five holdings. Get a free safety grade, projected annual income, and a dividend-cut stress test in about 30 seconds.
How the free dividend safety check works
Enter the dividend stocks or ETFs you own. We pull the current yield for each holding, score it for dividend-cut risk, and combine those scores with a diversification check. The result is a quick second opinion — not a promise that a dividend is safe.
The stress test shows what happens to your income if dividends are cut by 20%. That is the number most income investors never calculate: how much of your monthly paycheck depends on the riskiest payers.
To track the portfolio over time — ex-dividend dates, income forecasts, safety grades and alerts — open the free DividendPro tracker. It is free for up to three stocks, and Pro adds up to 50 holdings with full forecasting.
Questions
How is the safety grade calculated?
It starts with the current yield and adjusts for sector risk (energy, telecom, tobacco, BDCs, REITs, utilities) and portfolio diversification. High yield is treated as a warning sign, not automatically as income.
Is this financial advice?
No. It is an educational estimate. Payout ratios and coverage are approximations, and a grade is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security.
Do I need an account?
No account is needed to run the check. An account is only needed to save the portfolio and track it over time.
